Being an Eco-lighthouse involves systematic work on environmental efforts in everyday life. As a certified Eco-lighthouse, Advania meets requirements and implements efforts for a more eco-friendly operation and a healthy workplace environment.
Eco-lighthouse is Norway's most widely used certificate for companies that will document their environmental efforts and show social responsibility. More than 5800 Norwegian companies are certified as Eco-lighthouse.
Espen Hartz, CEO of Advania Norway:
"In the transition to a more sustainable society, nobody can do it all - but everyone can do something! In order to reach the low-emission society of the future, we must all contribute, including companies such as Advania. Eco-lighthouse gives us concrete tools for working purposefully to improve our environmental performance when it comes to workplace environment, waste management, energy use, purchasing and transport."
The Eco-lighthouse certification is approved documentation for public procurements. Furthermore, it is the first national system in Europe that has been recognized by EU.
In addition to the certification as Eco-lighthouse, Advania is a member of the UN Global Compact, a sustainability program for companies and organizations worldwide.
Advania's online store is also a member of Grønt Punkt Norge, taking responsibility for all types of packaging through return systems approved by the Norwegian Environment Agency.
