Advania strengthens its sustainability performance and role in enabling more efficient IT
Advania has published its Annual and Sustainability Report for 2025, highlighting continued progress in its environmental, social, and governance performance, alongside a growing role in helping customers reduce the impact of their IT operations.
During the year, Advania advanced its sustainability position across multiple areas, including improved external ratings, continued integration of sustainability into its operations, and an increased focus on supporting customers in managing the environmental footprint of their technology.
Key sustainability highlights from 2025:
- Achieved Platinum and Gold levels in EcoVadis, placing Advania among the top-rated companies globally
- Validated science-based climate targets (SBTi) in three of our countries
- Expanded focus on lifecycle management and efficient use of IT assets – with 158 026 (10%) circulated hardware units sold
- Employee engagement reached record highs – with engagement score of 4.21 in the Gallup Workplace Audit
- Strengthened governance and reporting across all markets
- Increased customer demand for sustainable IT solutions
“Sustainability in IT is no longer a separate agenda. It is becoming part of how organisations operate,” says Hege Støre, CEO of Advania. “Technology can drive efficiency, but it also consumes energy and resources. Our role is to help customers manage both sides of that equation in a practical way.”
From internal progress to customer impact
While reducing its own footprint remains a priority, Advania’s largest impact lies in how it supports customers.
As organisations move more of their operations into digital environments, the efficiency of IT infrastructure, cloud usage, and device lifecycle management becomes increasingly important. Poorly managed systems lead to unnecessary energy use, shorter equipment lifespans, and higher overall costs.
Advania works with customers to address these challenges through optimisation of infrastructure, improved utilisation of resources, and more structured lifecycle management of IT assets.
This approach not only reduces environmental impact but also improves performance and cost efficiency, aligning sustainability with business outcomes.
Sustainability as part of core operations
During 2025, Advania continued to embed sustainability more deeply into its operating model, strengthening governance, reporting, and accountability across its markets.
External recognition reflects this progress, including high partner rankings and sustainability related awards across multiple countries.
At the same time, regulatory expectations and customer requirements continue to increase, making transparency and measurable progress more important.
Advania’s approach is based on clear targets, structured reporting, and continuous improvement rather than short term initiatives.
Looking ahead
Advania expects sustainability to become an increasingly important factor in how IT services are designed, delivered, and procured.
The company will continue to focus on reducing its own impact while expanding its ability to help customers operate more efficient and sustainable IT environments.
“Sustainability only matters if it leads to real change,” says Støre.
“Our focus is on practical improvements that make a measurable difference over time.”
